"Brandy" (by Locomotion out of Choctaw Sunflower) is the loudest colored filly we offer from our 2009 foals. She is a red dun Medicine Hat appaloosa in the tradition of our great Choctaw Sun Dance. Her sire and dam are both by Choctaw Sun Dance himself, and as many of you already know, Locomotion too has crossed the Rainbow Bridge so this cross can never be made again.
She's big, beautiful and LOUD, and with just a little luck, she should produce color even by your solid stallion. And you'll have the chance to get paint, appy or both. Buy "Brandy" while we need the hay $ or we'll likely keep this one. $1000.
FLASH: WE MUST BUY WINTER HAY NOW!! From Oct 1-Nov. 31st, price is $750, but you must act now. No dickering or pay-outs at this price.
Above are newborn shots of "Brandy" showing her Medicine Hat paint markings as well as the soft snowflake appy spots on her back and hips.
Below you see Brandy in September 2009. As she has aged, the appy gene has roaned her ribs and hindquarters but her front end is still dark roan. Very interesting pattern! Looks as if she will also carry Dance's striking rabicano mane and tail. Notice how both have gone flaxy since she was born.
Her dam is Choctaw Sunflower HOA #1403, SMR 1756. She is by Choctaw Sun Dance AIHR O-594, SMR 1282 out of Abiba SMR 489, she by Majuba SMR 205 out of Dam Sorrel SMR 455, she by San Domingo 4 out of Andaluz 176.
This sizeable and striking filly carries not only the close-up great blood in the pedigree above, but also goes to Chief Pushmataha, Blue Corn, Syndicate and so many other well known Spanish Mustangs.
Feel free to
Her sire is Locomotion HOA #1010, AIHR O-1955, SMR #1988. He is by Choctaw Sun Dance AIHR O-594, SMR 1282, out of Easter Lilly AIHR O-1651, SMR #1818, she by Trail Blazer HOA #1143, SMR #931 by Regal 189 out of Sego Lily 470.
