Left: Unwritten August 20, 2008. Left: Accelerate with Red Fern Left: Red-headed Stranger
Left: Jack Sparrow
Left: Jack Sparrow was still very wet after a hard rainshower when these pictures were made. Will try to get him in dry shots as soon as we can.
Unwritten (call name “Ritz”), graying grulla colt by Brother Love out of Written on the Wind (Broom/Pocahantas Claybasket). Foaled May 22, 2008. Brother Love is also Sorraia Mustang
registered. He has been National Champion Original at Halter at the AIHR National Show three times, a record so far. Pocahantas Claybasket, “Ritz”’s grand-dam, was SMR Show and Games Horse of the Year
for 1992. Written on the Wind is also the dam of Child of the West Wind, Curtis George’s fine gelding who performed with us at Breyerfest. “Westy” is on his way to fame, and “Ritz” will be a great performer, too. $850
Right: Ritz shedding baby coat.
Accelerate (call name “Ace”), curly red dun roan colt by Rowdy Yates out of Red Fern (El Valente/Vendo Majico). Foaled May 22, 2008. Red Fern is a full sister to Beetlejuice,
the Hilligoss’ deceased endurance horse. This colt has looks, movement and pedigree plus PROVEN performance lines in both distance and the arena. Add the curly gene and he is a strong stallion prospect. This one could put a breeding
farm that promotes on the CS Horse map. $2000.
Right: Ace walks.
Red-headed Stranger, loud red dun roan by Rowdy Yates out of Maggie Mae (Dance Magic/Maggie). Foaled June 12, 2008. Maggie Mae is out of the great old HOA foundation mare Maggie
(Crane/Blue Monday). Looking for performance, high % foundation Bookcliff blood and that classic Rowdy Yates look, including the hair? This is your colt! “Stranger” looks just like his sire in a red dun. Won’t that red mane look super
when it’s past his neck? $1000.
Right: Stranger is balanced and correct.
Jack Sparrow, grulla appaloosa colt by Rowdy Yates out of Ilo's Bonita Shaquita (Desert Wind/Ilo's Phantom Rose). Foaled May 13, 2008. “Bonita” is a 7/8's Belsky mare so “Jack”
is 7/16ths Ilo Belsky breeding. If “Jack” was a filly, there wouldn’t be a sale offered on this one! Belsky blood is getting rather rare, and Jack’s dam “Bonita” rides the best, even though we trained her at age 11. He is just starting
to show spotting right over his withers with spots coming into his strong dorsal stripe. I thought he’d stay grulla until the new hair proved me wrong. What an outcross to other appy lines! “Bonita” is the only appy colored Belsky left,
I believe. If you know of others, please let us know. $1500.
Right: Jack has lots of highlighting and smutty markings that we can only hope will remain as he ages.
Late Foal Born During Hurricane Ike:
Willow Dance (Broom/ Mora's Spring Dance, she by Choctaw Sun Dance out of Kiamichi Mora) was bred to Tambourine Man for a late '08 foal.
“Willow” is the last Broom foal, a full sister to Born To Run. She is a full sister to Dreams 'N Color's Born To Run, and we all know how good "Barney's" babies are for sweet temperament and good looks.
Willow was AIHR Green Pleasure Champion in 2002, and won Youth Frontier Period Costume and Youth Pleasure at the 2007 AIHR National, ridden by Noah Halupa. We bred her after the National when we realized that she was 10
years old and had not yet produced a foal. What a waste that would be if we never got one! And as Willow is high % Jones, we chose to breed her to Tambourine Man to get a linebred Choctaw Sun Dance with strong Jones foundation blood.
And what did she foal? Like A Hurricane is a champagne near leopard appaloosa with his sire's lovely paso-type lateral gait. Pictures of "Ike" to come when he sheds out this spring. No more uniquely lovely CS could be imagined. Just wait until you see this one!
Priced at $1500.

There is no substitutute of proven performing bloodlines, superior conformation and that well-known Karma Farms trainabilty. If you aren't riding one, you're likely to have to beat one. Our horses have won more registry awards than any other Colonial Spanish (or Spanish Mustang or "O" Indian Horse) breeding farm in the world. Why not the best?
